MEET ALEX PENNECK

Alex Penneck is an international Alpine Skier representing Scotland in Slalom and Giant Slalom, competing in one of the most technically demanding and physically challenging sports in the world. As one of The Athlete Standard’s founding athletes, Alex has been working with TAS to better understand his physical performance, identify areas for development and use objective sports science testing to support his continued progress.

Alpine skiing demands far more than technical ability. Athletes must combine speed, strength, power, balance, coordination, and exceptional movement control while making rapid decisions at high speed. The physical demands of the sport are considerable, with athletes required to repeatedly produce high levels of force whilst maintaining control and precision throughout. For Alex, competing internationally for Scotland means operating in an environment where small differences in physical preparation and performance can have a meaningful impact on results.

Alex’s Accolades Include:

•Scottish FIS Alpine Champion 2025 & 2026

•4X FIS podium Finisher

•GBR Combined (indoor & dryslope) Overall Champion for 3 years running

•British Dryslope Slalom Champion 2023

•Highest ranked Male on dryslope in Britain in 2023 & 2024 (2024 was Alex’s last year skiing dryslope)

We are delighted to be working with Alex and look forward to our team allowing Alex to achieve not only his goals across his 50+ international competitions in the 2026/27 Alpine Season but also the ultimate goal of competing in the Europa Cup representing Great Britain.
